Project reviews of ImpacTrip

Wonderful time in Lisbon

I want to thank ImpacTrip for their excellent service and coordination in allowing me to participate and learn from this food waste program. I met so many wonderful people from overall the world with similar volunteer spirit as I do that I ended up talking to many people late into the night. I was a wonderful experience to not only learn about the stories of others traveler and at the same time, help out families in need of help throughout the city. My only regret is not to stay there longer. I would recommend volunteers to do 2+ weeks instead of 1 week. This is mainly because the first day is introduction and the fourth day is group activity so you'll only be able to do the program for 3 days which I think is too little to really get involve and understand the program as a whole. The impact house is sustainable in its entirety and the host moms/dads are friendly and amazing to talk to. They shared so many places for me to visit and they always go the extra mile to make sure we are comfortable and happy. Thank you again for such a wonderful experience, I will definitely come back and do it again.

Great experience.

The ImpacTeam is very friendly and welcoming. This program was worth the money. The only improvement that could be made is communication. The accommodation could also be cleaned a bit more regularly. Otherwise I had a great time!

Great experiences for the refood program

I've been to Lisbon this summer for the refood program and was excited to be the first Chinese volunteer in Lisbon. Hope in the future more Chinese people will join this program. At the moment you arrive there you will find that you are so welcomed by a lovely girl Rita and a optimistic gentlemen Diogo This is a meaningful program. People like us never experience starvation, and what troubles us everyday is which kind of bags I would buy or which restaurant I would go tonight. However, there are lots of people in this world have no food in their life. Therefore we should stand out and help those people get out of it. The work itself is not busy, I was working the morning shift and it usually finished at 2:00 pm. Therefore you are free for the rest of your day and can travel around and experience different culture. Trust me you will definitely have a memorable experience here.

Highly Recommandable!

This was an amazing experience. In terms of the volunteering, ReFood is such a well-oiled volunteer machine, its revolutionary concept and administration will have you wondering why this program hasn't been implemented globally. In terms of the tourism, Impactrip is the best! The Impactrip leaders were so down-to-earth, and very helpful. They are always there to answer any questions, and help you see and experience the best of Portugal. The accommodations are wonderful, right in the heart of Estrela - and the food is always fresh and available. Overall, I would recommend this trip with this organization to anyone and everyone! The people, the food, the culture!

Great Experience!

Had a great experience with Impactrip this past March. Loved lending a hand to have an impact on the place I was visiting. Met a lot of locals, and learned some essential skills that I used when I got home. Quite the experience!!!
