Review Description

The Sahajanand Project was founded to help some of the most vulnerable members of society for their betterment and promote overall wellbeing.

The Project which has paved its own way and developed over the years with a mission to improve the livelihood of those from underprivileged backgrounds through empowerment with skills and knowledge for their betterment and overall wellness.

The Project today has grown to incorporate 3 programs - The Sahajanand Special School,  Sahajanand Care and Sahajanand Feeding Centre.

The Projects largest program, the Sahajanand Special School, has evolved from its humble beginnings 12 years ago as a classroom conducted under a tree to become part of a Centre of Excellence in Mtwapa and arguably the largest School for Children with Special Needs in Africa. The school currently has over 1000 students registered that have various forms of special needs whether physical or mental.

The Feeding Centre is a weekly program where every Sunday thousands are fed to satisfaction, arriving hungry but leaving  satisfied and smiling.

The recently established program, Sahajanand Care - better known as Kilulu Orphanage - is home to around 200 children who study the national curriculum in the Primary and Secondary schools at the nearby established Centre of Excellence in Mtwapa.
