Coaching is a great way to benefit the youth, while having fun and developing leadership skills yourself.  This volunteer program is especially suitable for:

Our After School Sports project is a great way to contribute to the development of children from disadvantaged areas. In Zimbabwe, our projects combine aspects of sports, education, and social care.

As a After School Sports volunteer in you will work in Harare township, sports centers and children’s sports project, providing soccer and physical education training for girls and boys who wouldn’t normally get the chance to play sports. Your presence alone will help encourage the participants. The project needs volunteers with skills in physical education, coaching, leadership, and discipline, and would welcome any volunteers with youth counseling experience. You can combine sports with weekly sessions to discuss social issues relative to the needs of the children. As this project is best combined with another project like teaching or care. The volunteer will work with local community children and will be using the Dangare Primary School. The Sakubva community is a local poor township in Harare and most of the less privileged stay within the community. And volunteers will work with children aged between 12-17 years of age on different sports program organized by the local community coordinator.
