We believe everyone deserves the best chance in life. That's why we support the most vulnerable children and their families living in Kampala and Uganda at large. This volunteer program is especially suitable for:

  • Experience the Uganda way of life and enjoy delicious local foods every day
  • Gain fluency in Luganda (commonly spoken local language in Uganda) by living with a host family and sharing daily life with locals
  • Become more passionate about your major and propel your career with international experience while in Uganda
  • Make memories you'll never forget during your stay at our foundation
  • Visit Kampala (capital city of Uganda), various beaches, national park, water falls, hotsprings, source of the Nile and so many more
Uganda Hands For Hope is a charity organization based and operating in Kampala with ambitions of helping the unprivileged children in and around Kampala to have basic needs of life for their daily life. But because of the limited funds, materials and man power are not able to satisfy the continuously increasing number of vulnerable children.

We believe in child-centered teaching, and in respect for the rights of the child.

At Uganda Hands for Hope we highly respect each other with respect and dignity and ensure that the rights of the children, staff and volunteers are highly respected. We highly condemn any sort of discrimination to and from the volunteers, staff and children so that every one can feel at home.

Volunteer who can join can help us in a number of ways that include;

  • Helping the children with their daily tasks
  • Feeding the children
  • Helping teach the children in class
  • Helping the staff in office work
  • Helping us in fundraising
  • Working as our ambassadors in the respective countries
  • Once the volunteers are certified as our ambassadors in their respective countries they will be in position to recruit and recommend other volunteers to our program
During the volunteer's stay they will have an opportunity to tour around Kampala (to all the prominent shopping malls around town), tour to a number of tourist sites in Uganda such as
  • Source of the Nile
  • Equator
  • Bird watching
  • Gorilla trekking
  • And so many more safari sites
Volunteers are required to come with personal items like sweaters, sleeping bag in case of a safari, mosquito repellents, light and heavy clothing for both rainy and sunny season and any other equipment the volunteers wishes to move with.
