Sustainable Bolivia (SB) is a 501(c)3 non-profit with projects in the Bolivian Tropics focused on education, youth development, the arts, sustainable tourism & global health. SB also assists grass-roots organizations in and around Riberalta through the provision of human and financial resources, scholarships and grant funding. In 2016, we helped secure protection for more than 20,000 hectares of rainforest, establishing the Aquicuana Reserve. Inside the Reserve, we partner with local communities and oversee projects focused on community-based ecotourism, conservation and resource management, and environmental education/research.

SB is looking for a Communications Coordinator to facilitate the recruitment and application process for perspective volunteers, ensuring that they are matched with the best possible project. He/she will work as a liaison between SB’s projects & partner organizations, and our volunteers. He/she will also share responsibility for special projects such as the SB Language School, permaculture workshops, art exhibitions, weekend excursions and sustainable tourism projects.

The volunteer will be working alongside the National Director in the Sustainable Bolivia's offices. His/her work will include field visits in the Aquicuana Reserve and at current and potential local partners. The communications volunteer will be involved in all communications including social media, external meetings, coordinating with other volunteers.

His/her work is crucial as it supports the further development of the NGO and has a real impact on the life of the NGO. Good promotion can mean more funding for specific projects, new strategic partnerships and more visibility for the projects.
