We work closely together with the locals of the Arusha region , who want to improve life in the township and ensure a better future by using their environment sustainably .

Your main task will be to join in- country volunteer and help to beautify the town with art and creativity by using waste materials such as plastic, bring hope into the community, teach them how to live sustainably, raise awareness about environment to the kids and locals and help establishing communal gardens, tree nurseries  and more, organize events and workshops and inspire locals and communities with your own ideas and skills

  • we organize after school activities like sports, arts, planting, practicing English, playing games and environmental activities
  • we do art with the Swahili Art group( using environment friendly materials in painting)
  • We raise awareness about food security to stop food waste and hunger

Besides the weekly program, we organize different events in the town where everyone can show their art and do music, dancing or theater performances on an environmental  little stage in which you will be part of team in creating the stage. We also offer workshops for sustainability, gardening, English, math and art and we hold meetings with the locals to discuss environmental and social issues with them.

8 :00 Am Breakfast

9: 00 Am. After breakfast in the morning, you will head direct to the FEid office to have morning debrief and plan for the day.

 10: 00 Am  - 3: 00 Pm. Our project officer takes you to the school, village or project site according to the morning debrief plan

Your main task will be to work with other in- country volunteer and help  to beautify the town with art and creativity, do English, art or sustainability workshops, help with our environmental projects (planting, organizing anti-waste campaigns),  organize events and workshops and inspire kids and communities with your own ideas and skills.

(Lunch can be taken at project site but also depend with the schedule of the day, it might be back at the office)

Around 6: 00 Pm you may go back to your lovely accommodation or enjoy the amazing vibe on  with the other volunteers and project facilitators.

The dinner is always a nice way to reflect the day at 8 : 30 Pm.

Free-time activities

Do Safaris either at Serengeti, Manyara, Ngorongoro, Tarangire national parks , swimming pool or hot springs at Moshi,  horse riding, swim in waterfalls, explore nature & wildlife and do adventurous Road trips to other parts of Tanzania!
Get to know the culture, explore authentic township and Swahili life, join ceremonies and events and make new friends

Enjoy your evenings at a lovely with an amazing vibe and spend your daily free time shopping, hiking, climbing Mount Kilimanjaro or Mount Meru

Require­ments

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 09:00 - 15:30

Volunteer House which is comfortable with minimum  security, electricity, water and main gate. this can be shared rooms, each volunteer with his or her own bed. sitting room for more than four people and  flashing toilet

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. An airport pickup isn't included within the program fees either.
Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) in Kilimanjaro. We assist you to find cheap flights to Tanzania.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for Tanzania provides security and is a plus to have.
Vaccines
If you are intending to volunteer in Tanzania you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for Tanzania.

Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with FEid - Tanzania during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
