Conservation Adventure

Cusco, Peru show on map
We strive to rescue biodiversity in an area of over 9000 hectares, source of life for the entire world This volunteer program is especially suitable for:

Soqtapata is a conservation project in the rainforest of Perú. Our mission is to preserve this unique rainforest.

Why do we need to do something for the conservation? Because in this area we have a main highway, The South Interoceanic Highway that is good for the people, but also for the illegal activities surrounds this area, such as gold extraction. This activity brings more illegal activities such as prostitution.

So how do we help in the conservation and social problems, by doing a few activities in the area and with our neighbors.

We do research, ecotourism, and social work. For all those activities we have a volunteer program that aims for the conservation and the involvement of the people in needs such as this.

Our volunteer program has 4 main parts:

- Research
- Ecotourism
- Community Work
- Maintenance

All of this programs aims for the conservation of the area. Your involvement will depend on your knowledge and capabilities you have.
Every volunteer will also contribute to the camp works, such as cooking, cleaning and other. However, the volunteer will have half of the day to do other activities. This free time could be used not only for relax but also to explore, enjoy and swim on the clean water of the pools, waterfalls that the rives provide us.

The volunteer will work helping in any project that is currently able, the idea is that help the staff in the research field, ecotourism or with the community. While the volunteer is doing that, he/she will be surrounding by the nature all day.
We expect from the volunteer to have all the energy to help of the preservation of a place that is rich in biodiversity.

The money contributed will be for the tent, mattress, sleeping, cleaning material, 3 meals per day and other that will be given to every volunteer.
Also, access to the bathroom and the well appreciated the hot shower.

This is a great opportunity to connect with nature and discover what are you capable to do with your natural side.
