Help empower Nepalese children access education
Experience first-hand Nepalese culture and traditions by staying with a local family and interacting with locals on your daily life
Discover other perspectives and ways of living different to your own
Improve your building skills
See some of the beautiful places Nepal has to offer, many Buddhist monasteries and Palaces.
Help children from vulnerable communities access education again and get empowered by rebuilding schools wrecked during earthquakes. This volunteer program is especially suitable for:
Age 18+
Singles
Couples
Groups
50+
The area in which you will be working faces numerous problems, such as frequent earthquakes, lack of funds, poverty and other problems. All put the children's education, which we believe is key to their empowerment, at risk. During this program, you will work closely with the locals in the area to rebuild the schools and make them suitable for the children's use.

Some of the tasks you may be assigned as a volunteer include:
  • Installing water purification systems or insulation systems inside the schools.
  • Building brick walls or roof structures.
  • Maintaining and developing existing infrastructure.
  • Demolition of old buildings that may not be suitable for use.
  • Building entirely new classrooms from the ground up
  • Plastering of new structures
  • Decorating and painting classrooms, such as by creating murals and images.
  • Spreading awareness about the importance of these classrooms within these communities.
There may be other tasks for volunteers to perform depending on the specific needs of the location where the reconstruction is taking place.

Typical day

Our volunteers are expected to work between 4 to 6 hours from Monday through Friday. On weekends, volunteers may enjoy some of the beautiful things Nepal has to offer.

Free-time activities

Tourism is the largest industry in Nepal and its biggest source of foreign income. This is precisely due to the very rich cultural heritage and beautiful attractions Nepal has to offer. We believe that during your stay as a volunteer you shall be able to enjoy some of those very beautiful sights as well. Some of the highlights we could suggest are:

  • Assisting any of Nepal's very colourful and interesting festivals, where you'll be able to dive into Nepal's culture and history.
  • The Kathmandu valley UNESCO sites
  • Trekking routes such as the Annapurna Circuit, Sanctuary, and Jomsom
  • Hot air balloons over the Himalayan mountains
  • Exploring waterways on a raft
Among many others!
