At MyFarm we make educational apps for everything we do. The content creator's role is to observe and get involved in activities, and create the content into our system.
This volunteer program is especially suitable for:
Help Us Educate The World!MyFarm is the creative hub of our organisation where we test, trial, and improve educational concepts, that are then used across the world! It is the centre of a far-reaching educational movement we believe can change the world!
Volunteers specifically making content for us have the opportunity to see their creations used all over the world!
Every week at MyFarm you will be assigned a topic of activities to get involved with. You will take notes, pictures, and videos of everything you do and we will help you create educational apps around that topic. Sometimes you will be assigned farming activities or environmental science, even just fun educational games children can play at home.
What is our educational universe of apps?
Leap Learning, our implementation partner has developed a universe of educational apps with everything from foundational numeracy to creativity and music, the educational potential is unlimited! These apps are used by hundreds of thousands of children and adults across the globe...This all starts at MyFarm.
Each app is designed to make students feel like they are mastering learning and therefore eager to learn more and more!
Education is the foundation for a better future...we have made it our mission to build those foundations all over the world!
Wake Up Its A Beautiful Morning
You will wake up in the tranquility of our gardens in the canopy of mango trees to the sound of birds chirping.
Take a stroll around the beautiful farm, if you choose to you can help feed the many animals we have on-site or help out in the gardens.
Children Are Excited To Learn At MyFarm
At 9am excited children will start arriving at the farm, and you will see on their faces they are excited to learn in our amazing Learning Labs and gardens. Spend the morning with them getting involved with everything they do.
Every day delicious traditional Gambian lunches are served and we all sit and eat as a family. You'll try everything when you at MyFarm...Domoda, benechin, palm oil, and the popular polassis.
After lunch you will either head back with the children or help to develop vital content for the apps with our expert educational team.

Highlights include Wassu stone circles, take a boat ride with Gambia's wild hippos or visit the incredible chimpanzee rehabilitation project. Spend Your Weekends In Gambia's Many Eco Lodges
Gambia has so many amazing eco lodges. Most of them are set in thick jungle, use composting toilet and all have their own vegetable gardens. These eco lodges are beautiful places to be and we have great contacts with all of them, many will even offer discounts to Myfarm volunteers so you will get the best deals too. Footsteps eco lodge and Nemasu are particular highlights in the coastal region. At Bintang Bolong lodge you may even be lucky enough to see dolphins more than 60 miles in land.
