Volunteer Opportunity Awaits is a charity organization that was set up Kateregga Jethro who is a teacher by profession.

His aim in starting Volunteer Opportunity Awaits was to help the unprivileged children, orphaned children and youths have a home-like environment rather than an orphanage home to help them have access to better Education, Medication care, parental love and care, small interest-free loans, hands on skills, guidance and counseling and so many more.

Volunteers can always be involved in our various projects we have as a teacher, counselor and so many more skills that the volunteers may have that some of our volunteer program include;

Schools Outreach Programs focus on building and empowering on-going school children with life skills and positive values in life through teaching Godly character among the children accompanied with various social life aspects for example Health and Sanitation, Abstinence, Purity, and English language as an official medium of communication. We do conduct these sessions in our primary schools where a group of volunteers alongside the school teachers in that particular school trains students practically relating the above. Basing on children ages, we do classify the students in workshops regarding their ages to enable trainers or volunteers be in position to teach the students very well.

Our schools Outreach Program happen once in every months. Once we get ready and interested Volunteers we schedule up a day for this programs and they are  taken the selected class and carry out our activities with the students.

Our school Outreach program does not segregate children in regards to denominational backgrounds or according to ability.

While Traveling to Uganda to Volunteering, a volunteer is advised to bring some light and thick clothes for hot and relatively cold season that may happen both in the same day. Well as mosquito repellents for the case of camping.

We need committed volunteers because our volunteers a times work from remote areas and a times suburbs so those areas may a times need someone who is committed to help.

While at the Foundation volunteers shall be staying at the Director's residence that is 24 kilometers from Kampala along Nakasongola highway and will be helped by the volunteer coordinator at the foundation.

Volunteers while coming need to come with light clothes, some sweaters for the rainy season and mosquito repellents for camping since in Uganda our climate is Equatorial it can rain and shine in the same day.

At our foundation are essential urgent needs lie in scholastic materials, reading books, clothing, hand work machines like {sewing machines, used/new computers, hair dryers and so many more machines}.

As the Foundation we can provide volunteers with discounted safari travel to all part of Uganda, free accommodation, volunteering experience, African life exposure and so many more.

On the volunteer's leave they are awarded an Appreciation certificate.
