This project was established to equip unemployed youths and disadvantaged women with skill and knowledge so that they may earn a living. This volunteer program is especially suitable for:
Age 18+

Almost all women in this project are single mothers and widows who are having a very hard time providing for their children. Their husbands passed on, left the family, are drug addicted, or simply show no interest in caring for their wives and children. Most of these women are facing different problems, suffering from patriarchal stereotypes like women being weaker or less intelligent than men, which can make it harder for them to find a job. On average, a woman has five children and providing for them hard enough. To combine these two parts of working to have an income and taking care of their children, Trust Future Uganda steps in and helps these women to believe in themselves and their abilities by equipping them with skills in tailoring and craft making so that thy may startup their own small businesses.

On the other hand, many of the youths in under this projects are school dropouts who never finished school  and some of them ended up getting pregnant at an early stage.
There is a variety of empowerment programs which we have set up to help empower these two groups of people like hair dressing for the youths, Tailoring for both the women and youths, computer training and craft works. By the end of 2017, sixteen(16) youths graduated and today they work with different fabric companies and Saloons and three (3) are already working as secretaries at different small scale firms.

The Location

This project is located in the outskirts of Kampala with in the great wakiso region 6 kilometers from the city center. The place is still developing with several markets, a few private schools and an average population with 60% children, 30% youths and 10% adults. The area has a few hills and an average population.

The area has a tropical climate with an average annual temperature is 21.8 °C, you can carry sun cream and some light clothes but not too short on you provided it gets warmer and also you will need a rain jacket or rain jacket just in case it rains. The two months it rains most are April and November.
