There is always something to do for our volunteers in the eco-center, and your opportunities in the amazing rainforest are diverse and meaningful.
Your tasks may be:
• Preparing food and feeding the animals
• Conducting behavioral analysis of the animals
• Cleaning the enclosures and facilities
• Data collection
• Maintenance of trails
Normally, your working day starts with the feeding of the animals between 7:30 and 9:00. Afterwards you will work on one of the other projects as mentioned above. In the afternoon at 15:00 or 16:00, you will help with other projects, such as: maintaining the facility, working in the greenhouse, building up or giving English lessons in a local school.
The exact work schedule is coordinated directly with the volunteer coordinator on site. Your working day may differ from the procedure described above.
Note: The tasks may vary. They depend on factors such as number of
volunteers, weather, season, current needs of the project, as well as
self-motivation. Not every volunteer may be fully involved in all these
tasks.
In your free time, there is
a wide range of activities to choose from, such as participating in various
different sports and cultural activities. Most volunteers go hiking around the center to admire the wildlife
and amazing views. You can also explore the surroudings and find tour agencies that offer diverse adventure trips to the jungle or mountains.
During this project, you will stay in a volunteer house that has five dorm rooms with bunk beds, 2 bathrooms, and a kitchen. This is a great way to interact with other volunteers and meet new people from around the world.
Full-board is provided (breakfast, lunch, dinner).
The volunteer work can be joined throughout the year. The start and end date can be set flexible, according to your availability and travel plans. Ask our experienced staff to coordinate your participation in this meaningfull volunteer project.
