The daily tasks vary depending on the season and particular needs of the project during your volunteering period.
After the initial orientation, you will have a morning or afternoon shift at your placement and will work for approximately 5 hours per day. Please note that start times and daily workload depends on the center that you are in.
A typical daily schedule is as follows:
Go to your project by public transportation and join the local staff to volunteer at one of the food rescue centers.
Morning | Morning shift
13:00 | Have lunch at the project.
Afternoon | Afternoon shift
20:00 | Dinner with other international volunteers at the accommodation.
Please note that the actual schedule can change according to the shifts.
In your free time, you can explore the city, have Portuguese language classes, surf, or anything you wish!

Every month on the first and third Monday of the month. You should arrive the Sunday before.
