development project you will work closely with the organization helping them in
many different ways. Volunteers may both work with general administration and
organizational development. Moreover, activities include writing reports and
proposals or developing ideas for income generating activities. If you can
bring your IT skills or choose to teach English, that is also a great help!
Volunteers’ work have been helping our partner NGOs to achieve more and better results meeting their goals and broadening their reach in their communities.

Skills needed for NGO Development
Volunteers from any background are welcome in this project. There are different NGOs working in many areas. All projects need help and there is always something you can do, but volunteers will go a much longer way if they can grasp the local language.
The most important skill needed for this kind of volunteer work is a positive attitude, creativity, and flexibility. The most successful volunteers have been self-starters who are willing to chart their own goals and objectives, while serving the needs of the partner organizations.

Volunteering in Ghana is an ideal way to explore this colourful West African country. There’s a huge variety of different activities to do while you’re there, giving you plenty of exciting ways to spend your free time.
Music is a central part of Ghanaian culture. In the bigger towns, especially Accra, you will hear some great live bands and have some memorable nights out. Evenings spent at buzzing restaurants will also give you a taste of some of the delicious local cuisine.
For a look into Ghana’s history, you can tour the slave forts of Cape Coast and visit museums. Nature lovers will relish trekking through the rainforests of Kakum National Park or Mole National Park.
We run a wide range of projects in Ghana so there’s sure to be other volunteers there during your trip. This means you can explore the country solo or connect with other volunteers and travel as a group.
