About the program
The Children’s Home of Hope orphanage in the village of Asebu, close to Cape Coast. The home cares for 30 to 40 children, ages of 4 to 16 years old.
Volunteers support the children in their daily needs at the orphanage, helping them in their studies and guiding them. Volunteers will act as staff support to help with daily tasks that the local staff is overwhelmed to complete. The volunteer will also inspire the children by creating exciting ...
Typical day
Children will return to the orphanage beginning around 1 pm when the volunteer’s day starts. Volunteers will help to prepare lunch and rest time. Details on arrival
Volunteers will be met at the airport in Accra and taken to the volunteer house in Cape Coast. Before going to Cape Coast volunteers will have three days of orientation where your coordinator will help acclimate the volunteer to Ghanaian culture, tour the capital city and give a project introduction. The volunteer house is equipped with all furnishing and amenities including consistent Wifi. The complete stay at our volunteer house includes breakfast and dinner for the duration of the stay. Transportation is also provided for the duration. Upon completion of the volunteer program, a certificate of completion will be awarded. Start and end dates are extremely flexible as we work with volunteers to find the best length for them while supporting the continuous nature of the program.
