The volunteer will work alongside with the project leader in promoting and marketing our project to potential donors and sponsors either individuals, institutions, companies, corporations and many others to enable us reach the goal of raising funds for the GlobalGiving Open Challenge. Together with the volunteer we shall design campaigns and activities to attain the objectives of our organization and towards the SDGs dialogue. The Volunteer will be immersed into our organization as a team member and shall participate in the elaboration and implementation of activities on the field area. The volunteer will be able to travel into communities and experience first hand exciting cultural realities in a typical traditional African setting. The volunteer will organize fundraising campaigns and create online fundraising pages.
While the organization focuses much on recruiting persons that can help it in its growth, we are also thinking of making the volunteers take some leisure activities that can reinvigorate them and enable them learn the cultural peculiarities that the project communities have and discovering ways to immerse and adapt to the conditions. Most of the project communities have very rugged topography suitable for hiking and enormous climbing. It will be an exciting experience for the volunteers to visit these areas plus other official sites for tourism in the area. This will go alongside with periodic visits to cabarets to savor Cameroonian music and to entertain themselves. There are also sporting activities in the communities and soccer events where volunteer will watch and experience first hand local and national soccer league games in the community. Meanwhile, depending on the volunteers' leisure experiences, we can arrange for other site visits upon his/her request. The North West Region has very many touristic attractions that are very appealing to visitors who come to the region. The main City of the Region Bamenda, has an attractive picturesque view and is situated along a sloping.
The program fee paid by volunteers will go to pay for local travels, accommodation, food & drinks, project site visits, project administration, maintenance, utilities, and communication.
Volunteers schedules are planned with the organization and timetable for their activities agreed before they arrive, during which pick up arrangements are made to pick them up from the airport and to bring them to Bamenda the capital city of the Region where the project is located. We also include cost for field visit for volunteers.
We believe it is important for volunteers to be immersed into families in order to keep them learning cultural practices and to feel more socialized except or otherwise the volunteer wants to live in an isolated place, Guest Families have spacious rooms and toilets with a common eating room and a sitting room where every evenings they can come together to watch television and discuss before going to Bed.
We provide breakfast, including meals and drinks to volunteers and open the space for negotiation with volunteers on a special considerations in relations to their feeding.
