The Project

This volunteer work project is located 35 km southwest of Limón, not far from the Caribbean Coast of Costa Rica. You will volunteer at a German-founded Costa Rican eco-lodge (850 hectares large), which provides ecotourism and conservation programs. Their land is next to the famous La Amistad National Park, which is known for its incredible biodiversity.

Guests from all over the world come to the eco-lodge to enjoy the nature, cozy lodge, and excursions in the rainforest (by horseback or foot).

The lodge’s main goal is to advocate for the protection of the animals and the local environment. The facility is considered to be a private nature reserve. Thanks to its water conservation project in the Limón district, about 70,000 people now have access to clean drinking water

During your volunteer experience, you will learn a lot about the rainforest and the natural habitats of thousands of exotic plants and animals.
