Join our remote Crisis Management to gain hands on experience to develop Crisis Management Skills and cope with social issues, working virtually! This volunteer program is especially suitable for:

Our remote crisis management internships program enables your learning experience to the next level serving wide varieties of a crisis management program as your accordance with what you have learnt in your academic session. We aim through this virtual crisis management internship program to help you, building your self-confidence level for taking challenges and finding the solutions for facing the critical crisis situation! In this process you will have lots of opportunities to do research in crisis management issues and initiatives.  

We hope that after being a part of this virtual crisis management internship program, you can transform yourself to become a social activists with critical crisis analyst and a problem solver... taking some initiatives for social development issues! During the program, we provide you various opportunities to work with Youths and Women groups with whom you can share your ideas and develop a mindset on new initiatives from the crisis management research, which you conducted... We believe that, through this virtual crisis management internships you will gain hands on experiences for resolving the crisis, with innovative crisis management skills for transforming sustainable community development into practical action. 

Typical day

As an Intern in our Virtual Crisis Management Internship Programs, you will be:

  • Working with local NGOs / Social Initiatives to learn the procedure of crisis management. 
  • Helping local organization to run Social Initiatives / Awareness campaign regarding crisis management. 
  • Working with Youths and Women groups to share the Ideas of crisis management. 
  • Develop Innovative Ideas / Plan to cope with possible crisis.  
  • Helping the vulnerable communities to transform their livelihoods and their socio economic development.  

Learning Outcomes form the Programs:

  • Enhance your understanding of crisis management in developing countries. 
  • Learn the Impact in crisis management in uplifting Livelihoods. 
  • Gain Practical work experience in crisis management.
  • Learn the process of NGOs Operation and its modality in crisis management.
  • Inspire yourself to become a problem solver with crisis management skills.

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

You need to speak English (basic level)
Education Requirements
Relevant academic background. at High School and Above. level

No restrictions. Helping hands from all over the world are welcome.

Time Commitment
Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. An airport pickup isn't included within the program fees either. Please arrange your own accommodation. Food, snacks or beverages are at extra costs.
Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. We assist you to find cheap flights to Nepal.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for Nepal provides security and is a plus to have.
If you are intending to volunteer in Nepal you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for Nepal.

Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated. Indra Foundation will let you know about the final price during your application process.
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Indra Foundation during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
