Our Virtual Women’s Empowerment internship is an internship program, which raises another very important issue for Community Development! Without Women Empowerment & their Development, it’s hard to imagine any community development initiatives / procedures being successful in other words, the process remain incomplete! So, today this issue has been one of the hot topics for the discussion in local to global forums from different prospective! Undoubtedly, it has great role in transformation of the Society with positive Impact!  

Through this remote Women’s Empowerment internship program, our aim is to provide you every insight details that are inter- connected with Women Empowerment and Development process; from Socio economic development to entrepreneurship developments... also, you will have chances to learn how women in Nepal are taking their steps ahead in terms of sustainable development approaches! Not only that, you will be able to learn and study many interesting women issues / and hear success stories from their life- struggle, which can be inspiring lessons for yourself too! 

Typical day

As an Intern in our Virtual Women’s Empowerment Internship Programs, you will be:
Working with NGOs focusing their program on Women’s Empowerment & Development.
Studying various issues about Women’s Empowerment & Development.   
Learning the process of Women Socio-economic & entrepreneurship development. 
Conduct various researches in Women Empowerment, their issues and Development. 
Raising funds for to support Women Micro Enterprises Business.  
Developing projects, Plans for supporting Women Micro Entrepreneurs.  

Learning Outcomes form the Programs:
Enhance your understanding of Women’s Empowerment and Women’s Issues.
Gain valuable hands-on experience working in Women’s Empowerment by evaluating their contribution in Socio Economic Development.  
Gain Practical work experience in Women’s Empowerment Sector. 
Learn the issues of Women’s and Women’s Empowerment. 
Inspire yourself to Work in Women’s Empowerment Sectors.

Require­ments

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.
Language Skills
You need to speak English (basic level)
Education Requirements
Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts, Sociology at High School and Above level

Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday

Internet Access

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. An airport pickup isn't included within the program fees either. Please arrange your own accommodation. Food, snacks or beverages are at extra costs.
Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) in Kathmandu. We assist you to find cheap flights to Nepal.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for Nepal provides security and is a plus to have.
Vaccines
If you are intending to volunteer in Nepal you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for Nepal.

Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Indra Foundation during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
