Laos has much to offer its visitors in terms of cultural differences, history and scenic surrounds. Our base in Luang Prabang is located at the meeting of the mighty Mekong and Nam Khan rivers. Here interns will be responsible for creating content that will be used in educational English classes and marketing purposes by GVI and our partners. These initiatives contribute towards UN SDG #17 - Partnerships for the Goals and Goal #4 - Quality Education.

Your days on the internship will be jam-packed as you can look forward to a full day of teaching, and planning for lessons and workshops. You will also be attending one-on-one training sessions in the first few weeks, as well as spending time working on your internship project and media related tasks.

The town of Luang Prabang is where we have our base. Though it appears to be a quiet town, there is much to see and do in the area. So why not visit the local landmarks during your free time, such as Nong Khiaw’s dramatic viewpoint, or Vang Vien’s limestone caves or the Kuang Si waterfall.

Typical day

First Week:

- Monday is a big day! First a Getting Started training followed by a resource room orientation and Lesson Planning Training Session. You’ll spend the afternoon planning for your evening lesson.
