The Turó de la Peira neighborhood has been a popular neighborhood with a high population of Latin American migrants, with economic and labor shortages, malnutrition, lack of education and training, saturation of social services and in recent years there has been a increased social and labor vulnerability of the population.

That is why our volunteer project is so important, because we contribute to the revitalization of the space through educational, recreational, well-being activities and the management of a restaurant. We provide training and certifications to empower them in their personal and professional projects through teaching and/or updating their skills and thus contribute to their future social and labor insertion. We also provide them with nutritional and regular food support, professional training, individual advice, supportive accommodation and the job market.

In order to achieve all these objectives we will need your help :) We need volunteers interested in carrying out different activities in the community, supporting the daily tasks and events that we organize. We have weekly trainings. We cook, clean and decorate together and enjoy different workshops for free. So your mission will be to contribute to the maintenance and cleaning of the cultural center. Also in the care of our garden, cooking, repairing the facilities, painting murals, logical layout of the property and decoration.

You will live very close to our NGO, in the same neighborhood we have 3 accommodations available to receive our volunteers. In apartments with shared rooms and mixed bathrooms, the beds are bunk beds and the most important and significant thing is the coexistence and community experience.

From you we expect your commitment, your desire and all the willingness to contribute to this beautiful project. We are going to accompany you throughout your experience and we will give you the tools you need to enrich your experience.

Last but not least, there are many rules of coexistence that contribute mainly to a good life in community and to making us responsible for ourselves, our actions and the way we act with others:
* Alcohol / drugs / parties are not allowed either on the apartments or in the NGO. It is also not allowed to be or to get back home drunk or high.
* It is not allowed to invite anyone to any of the residences.
* Violent attitudes towards people or material goods are not allowed.
* Attitudes of sexual or psychological harassment are not allowed.
* Absences are not allowed without notifying, justifying and obtaining previous approval.
* Silence in the residence at 9:00 p.m. as the peace of our neighbors as priority.
* The commitment to participate in at least one of our workshops and/or activities must be fulfilled
* Daily tasks and coexistence tasks assigned in the weekly planning must be fulfilled.
