Visiting the Jam-Rock on this 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTours gives you the rare opportunities to dive into Jamaican Culture and its world famous cuisine!

Upon arrival to the Rock, a place of breathtaking views and beautiful people inside and out, you’ll meet your Professional Tour Guides and transport to your accommodations/host family. Settle into your new surroundings and check out beautiful Montego Bay.

On your first full day of the 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTour, get to know the Jamaican Culture through the eyes of enjoyable Mandeville. This small Jamaican town offers landmarks, markets, and Cooking Classes covering how to use Jamaican herbs and spices to prepare dishes that will make your taste buds explode with delight.  

The next day of the 14 Days Tastes of Jamaica EduTour is teeming with amazement! Explore Melrose Hill and experience the Murray’s Fish and Jerk Hutt! Enjoy the wonderful world of Patties- a delectable treat loved by the natives and all those who visit! You’ll also take your pick from some of the most impressive fruit stalls you’ve ever seen!

Along with delicious food experiences and exciting cooking classes, you’ll grow to be one with Jamaica on culturally immersive activities. An intriguing look into Jamaican Market Culture and a trip to the Bob Marley Museum & Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records Restaurant are just a few of the highlights!  You’ll also enjoy this time to get to know your group members better and truly experience the famously vibrant city of Kingston!

Get ready for some Fishy Friday Fun as the 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTour takes you to one of the best seafood restaurants on the planet: Little Ochi Seafood! Nearly hidden in a small fishing village right on the beach, Little Ochi is worth the trip alone. To finish the day off, experience another Jamaican Wonder tucked away in the Caribbean Sea-The Renowned Pelican Bar!

Saturdays are for the Falls! Your first Saturday in Jamaica will not disappoint; Explore the town of Ocho Rios including a visit to the breathtaking Dunns River Falls, one of the most scenic waterfalls on the planet. After a day of hiking the falls and creating endless content for your social media, stimulate the local economy with a shopping trip into the diverse marketplace!

More cultural immersion takes place the next day as you get to spend Sunday with your host family, and Day Nine continues the amazing journey around the country as your 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTour takes you to Portland (home of the world famous Jerk Sauce), Boston Bay, and magnificent Reach Falls.

A Jamaican Pastries Cooking Class on Tuesday will be a real treat, followed by an eye-opening experience on Wednesday with a trip to the Hills of St. Ann where a talented couple will wow you with their rustic and authentic Jamaican Cuisine!

After a free day on Thursday, your last stretch of the 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTour brings true meaning to the phrase “saving the best for last”. The Appleton’s Rum Tour lets you finish your experience off with some of the tastiest liquor in the world, along with a trip to Shrimp Country in the Middle Quarters of Jamaica, followed by a can’t-miss experience at the Lovers Leap!

This 14 Day Tastes of Jamaica EduTour offers exploration opportunities into a world famous cuisine, a world-renowned culture, and a life-changing cultural experience in one of the most coveted vacations destinations on the planet!

Typical day

Day 1: Sunday - Arrival Day

  • Collection from Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, Jamaica.
  • Transport to your accommodation/host family.
  • Settle into your new surroundings.

DAY 2: Monday - Explore Jamaican Culture

  • Jamaican Culture Orientation – tour the town of Mandeville to visit landmarks, markets, enjoy the food & gain taxi experience.
  • You will participate in cooking classes, learn about Jamaican herbs & spices as well as how to prepare Jamaican tasty dishes.

DAY 3: Tuesday - Melrose Hill & Murray’s Fish & Jerk Hutt

  • Patties are a delightful treat loved by Jamaicans & visitors – get the chance to taste patties from the top three companies Juici, Mothers & Tastee.
  • You will get to understand how patties are made & what makes them so special – taste & learn the art of making Jamaican patties.
  • It doesn’t end there – roast yam, roast breadfruit, roast corn, roast potato – yummy!
  • This tour will take you to Shelly’s at Melrose Hill to learn more about all these roasted delicious items.
  • You will then travel to Porus to learn more about the Jamaican fruits.
  • The nicely arranged fruit stalls will leave you wanting so much more.
  • This will be topped off with a visit Murray’s Fish and Jerk Hutt.

DAY 4: Wednesday - Jamaican Market Culture

  • It’s market time!
  • Wednesdays are wholesale days in the market.
  • This means you get a wider variety of fruits, vegetables & produce.
  • Plus, things are cheaper.
  • Come & experience the Jamaican market scene – learn about the fruits, vegetables & produce, how to bargain, how to roast a breadfruit & more about ackee (the Jamaican national dish).
  • As well as a little about the language, full immersion.

DAY 5: Thursday - Bob Marley Museum & Usain Bolt's Tracks & Records Restaurant

  • A trip into Kingston to Usain Bolt’s Tracks & Records Restaurant is next on the ‘must do list’.
  • The track legend’s restaurant has lots of treats in store for you.
  • A little fun is mixed into the trip so you will get to visit the Bob Marley Museum & then taste the world famous Devon House Ice Cream.

DAY 6: Friday - Little Ochi Seafood & Pelican Bar

  • You have not had great seafood until you visit Little Ochi Seafood – fish, lobster, crab, conch & so much more.
  • Taste jerk, roasted, curried, steamed, fried fish & other seafood.
  • We guarantee this will be an exceptional experience.
  • The restaurant is located on the beach in a fishing village & you will get to interact with & learn more about the culture through the eyes of Jamaicans.
  • You will experience how these sumptuous seafood dishes are prepared.
  • You will also visit Pelican Bar – tucked away in the Caribbean Sea.

DAY 7: Saturday - Ocho Rios Town Tour & Dunns River Falls

  • Explore the town of Ocho Rios & nearby Dunns River Falls – enjoy a relaxing day climbing the world famous waterfalls & exploring the white sandy beaches.
  • You can also experience some shopping while immersing yourself in the Jamaican way of life.

DAY 8: Sunday - Authentic Cultural Immersion

  • Authentic Cultural Immersion – spend the day as a group attending either a local sporting event such as football or cricket, or check out one of the any local fairs and markets.

DAY 9: Monday - Visit Boston Bay & Reach Falls

  • Your next stop is Portland, home of the world famous jerk sauce & one of the spots in Jamaica with the ‘best jerk’.
  • Try the delightful meals at Boston Bay, enjoy the nice scenery of the beach & take a trip over to Reach Falls.

DAY 10: Tuesday - Jamaican Pastries Cooking Class

  • You will participate in cooking classes, learn about Jamaican pastries and drink.

DAY 11: Wednesday - Authentic Food & St. Ann

  • Stush in Bush – a love story that has people licking their fingers.
  • A rustic, authentic food experience in the hills of St. Ann.
  • You don’t want to miss what this couple cooks up.

DAY 12: Thursday - Free Time

  • Free time to explore.

DAY 13: Friday - Appleton's Rum Tour + Lovers Leap

  • We saved the rum tour for last, so you could soak it all in.
  • Home to the finest blends in the world, the Appleton’s Rum Tour offers a taste of good liquor.
  • You will also visit the shrimp country in Middle Quarters and then head to Lovers Leap for your final Jamaican experience.

DAY 14: Saturday - Departure Day

  • Return transfers to Sangster International Airport, Montego Bay, Jamaica.


Free-time activities

  • Explore the town of Ocho Rios & nearby Dunns River Falls – enjoy a relaxing day climbing the world famous waterfalls & exploring the white sandy beaches.
