We are seeking volunteers to undertake videography aimed at showcasing projects that we run at worldmeetskenya  in addition to exposing the socio-economic activities of our local community


Project Background: In today's world everything is digital. Most of the information that we consume is in the form of videos. Hence the best way to spread awareness of the work that worldmeetskenya does  in addition to exposing the socio-economic activities of our local community  is through informative videos

Key Responsibilities/Deliverables:

  • Create good quality videos of  our projects at worldmeetskenya
  • Create good quality videos exposing the socio-economic  activities of our local community
  • Discuss the content of the video with the NGO

This role involves attending events and programs to take video footage. The footage will be used for our website, marketing material, media releases, and other similar materials. Videos may also be used for fundraising purposes. The events and courses take place at various locations around Kiambu County, Githurai45 area

 The videos required will include interviews of attendees and participants, group and action shots, close-ups of small details and other similar shots

Support available:

 The organisation will help the volunteer with content creation and will be there with them on site.


Skill and Experience Required:

1) Work experience as a Videographer and Editor

2) Ability to create unique content.

Typical day



 A typical day looks like the following: At 9 AM TO 10 AM volunteers will have breakfast, 11 AM  the volunteer program begins and ends at 1 PM. We go back to the compound and freshen up. Lunch is usually served at 1 PM TO 2 PM From 2 PM to 5 PM  volunteers have free time. 

From 5 PM to 8 PM  volunteers spend time liaising with NGO staff. Dinner is served at 9 PM



  • From 10 AM TO 1 PM during weekdays volunteers will be spending time at the filming locations
  •  From 2 PM to 5 PM during weekdays volunteers will be spending time editing and/or discussing video content with NGO staff
  • Volunteers will have free time on Saturdays and Sundays 


Free-time activities

During free time volunteers can engage in the following
  •  jogging, walking, or going to the gym
  •  take a tour of the local community and meeting locals
  •  undertake cooking lessons where they will be trained on how to cook local recipes
  •  undertake language lessons where they will be taught the local language which is Swahili
  • visiting restaurants,, supermarkets, the local market, and pubs
  • touring the capital city Nairobi
  • visiting our tourism sites such as game parks


In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s) or if your are accompanied by your parents.

at At least the volunteer should have completed high school education level

Time Commitment
Your helping hand will be required on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10:00 - 05:00

Volunteers will stay in an apartment specifically rented for volunteers. We have rented two one bed roomed apartments which are within a three storey flat. Each apartment consists of a sitting room that is spacious with an adjacent kitchen, a spacious bedroom with a double Decker bed, hence two volunteers will share the double Decker bed at a time. Volunteers are requested to specify whether they are comfortable sharing the double Decker bed with members of the opposite sex.The apartment also has a spacious bathroom with a toilet and bathroom. The rooms are well ventilated, with good lighting, running water. Essentials such as toilet paper, bed sheets, duvets and mosquito nets are provided as part of the nighty price. Volunteers can purchase shampoos, and soaps at the local shops at a cost of about 1USD

The house is located within a walking distance to all the projects.

Motor cycle transport, and tuk tuks are commonly used and volunteers can access them within a walking distance of about 200meters from the house


1.we a are available to help the volunteers with questions they may have before their trip and provide orientation once they arrive.


2,We are also available to accompany the volunteers wherever they want to go e.g. to register simcards,visiting restaurants, and shopping

3. If necessary, we provide first aid for any injuries that occur during the volunteer's stay.


4.We also guide volunteers on the best tour sites that they should visit, and we also carry out free bookings for the tours

Bedroom (Single)
Food & Beverages

Breakfast is usually served around 9AM TO 10 AM and includes, Tea with or without milk, coffee with or without milk,bread,buns,bananas,oranges,avocado eggs,Lunch is served around 1PM to 2PM and usually consists foods such as Rice,Spaghetti,Noodles,pasta,potatoes,eggs,cabbages,beans,greengrams,kales,spinach,yamss,cassavas.It also consists of Kenyan traditional foods e.g “chapatti”,”ugali”Dinner is usually served at 7PM TO 9PM and often includes Rice,Spaghetti,Noodles,pasta,potatoes,eggs,cabbages,beans,greengrams,kales,spinach,yamss,cassavas.It also consists of Kenyan traditional foods e.g “chapatti”,”ugali. If volunteers would like additional food, there are plenty of restaurants,shops,and supermarkets near the volunteer compound where they can purchase food separately from the meals that are provided. A rough estimate of the cost of food in the shops nearby is about $ 2USD."

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. An airport pickup isn't included within the program fees either.
Flight Tickets
The nearest airport is Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) in Nairobi. We assist you to find cheap flights to Kenya.
Travel Insurance
Going abroad is an adventure and it is always best to be prepared. Sudden illness or injury, cancellation or theft - a travel insurance for Kenya provides security and is a plus to have.
If you are intending to volunteer in Kenya you should seek medical advice before starting your social journey. Check your required vaccinations for Kenya.
