Bali Internships provides volunteer programs that encourage intercultural learning between local communities in Bali and both national and international visitors.
As a local placement agency in Bali, we are specialized in providing quality individual internships in Bali and volunteer work placement services in Bali.
How it all started
We started back in 2010 have we established and sustained a vast network of trust, support and friendship among non-profit organizations, educational institutions, companies and international volunteers and interns.
We successfully built trustful and reliable connections of existing non-profit organizations and schools all around Bali that are legally acknowledged. Each and every program has been existing and running for years to work in favor of local communities and to preserve Bali’s natural beauty.

We identify where the support among our host programs is needed and where your motivation, skills and background as a volunteer could favor the community development.
Our motivation
We are motivated by our belief that international volunteers will make an extraordinary experience abroad. Working on an island, that is actually economically growing and dependent from increasing tourism, but controversially also suffering from it, will have a learning effect on the social-cultural understanding of each volunteer. It is our mission to raise awareness that giving back to Bali's people and nature is gratefully respected by local communities, who offer an outstanding hospitality and cultural experience in return.

Social Impact
Local community support
Being part of Bali’s local community, we manage our business to operate for our community’s benefit. Not only do we support existing profit companies and nonprofit organizations, we constantly work together with local family businesses such as accommodations, scooter rentals or transport services.
Ethical support
We understand, that just because you are volunteering you are not necessarily doing something good. Having built up a long-term and personal relationships to our volunteer host organizations we have learned about their working processes and targets. Together with the host coordinators we find the best task description for the volunteers, that helps to develop the programs on the long run.
Sustainability
Our support goes beyond the placement of international people. We are very committed in carefully matching each volunteers or interns background with the open positions. We want to ensure, that the help offered has a sustainable effect for the programs.
Responsibility
We screen every volunteer before the placement with regard to reliability and motivation to eventually match them with an open position in our local network. Furthermore, we are very committed to communicate appropriate values and behavior among our travelers to ensure the safety and protection of children, young adults and adults of our local host organizations (Child Protection Policy and Code of Conduct) and to promote environmental awareness.
