About the Shelter
You will be helping out at and supporting a local animal shelter. Not only does this shelter take in homeless animals, but also wild animals which are in a bad condition of any kind. Our aim is to release them back into the wild as soon as they are healthy and well again.
Who can join us?
This type of volunteering is perfect for adult volunteers who
want help for a longer time. The volunteer can come every day he or she wants
within the whole month. It is also always necessary to assist in the shelter and respect the conditions of volunteering. Furthermore, our programs are family-friendly as we love to welcome families with little children.
What you can expect
In addition to the care-taking of the animals, volunteers help us welcome visitors at the entrance, explain our goals and answer any questions that the visitors may have about the shelter or its resident animals. Knowledge about wildlife management will grow, as the volunteer spend more days in the shelter. They will learn about positive interaction with animals to good diet and reproduction.
Our main goal at the end of the day will always be taking care of wild animals and releasing them back to nature where they belong.
What you need
Long pants, close shoes and buy the t-shirt in the project to work.
