Volunteers play an integral role in achieving the goals of this project. Speaking
English and other languages like French and German are getting more and more important due to rising tourist
numbers.
Your job is going to be as a consultant for the English
teachers in the schools: You are going to support them in their subject
and if you are very confident with the language and you show dedication, you can also support other teachers in several different subjects. Create small
exercises for your students, make them smile while they're learning and
think of appreciation in the children’s eyes.
You will assist a local teacher during the day at the class and will learn with small groups in the afternoon (1-3 times a week) a second language if you are a native speaker in English, German or French. Volunteers are needed from around the world. As long as you have a good English level, we are very happy to get your support for the kids!
Journée Typique
A volunteer’s workday on this project will generally last between 5 and 6 hours and while we ask all volunteers to be flexible in this regard, a typical daily schedule is likely to go something like this:
- 7:00 am Breakfast at your volunteer house
- 8:00 am Walk to the project site
- 8:30 am start volunteer duties
- 12 Lunch break
- 1:00 pm VOLUNTEERING DUTIES
- 4:30 pm Walk back to your accommodation

Puerto Escondido is a very laid-back surfer town. You have a lot of beaches around and can discover them by bus or bicycle. Water Sports, swimming, and snorkeling are just some options of what you can do in Puerto Escondido. The famous Playa Zicatela is a great spot to watch the sunset or professional surfers, while you can train your own surfing skills in small bays around the city. There are nice sweet souvenir shops. On weekends you are able to discover cities farther away like the regional capital Oaxaca with its colorful market.

Pour participer à ce programme tu dois avoir au moins 18 ans quand le programme commence. Il peut y avoir des exceptions si tu peux montrer la permission de ton tuteur légal ou si tu es accompagné(e) par l'un de tes parents.

You will stay at a volunteer house, with 2-3 bedrooms. Single rooms are on request and with an extra fee available.
From the airport it takes just 10 minutes by taxi to your accommodation.
You receive breakfast at your volunteer house. There is a kitchen where you can store and cook your own food.

Le transfert de l'aéroport n'est pas inclus dans les frais non plus.
L'aéroport le plus proche est Puerto Escondido Airport (PXM) à Puerto Escondido. Nous t'aidons à trouver des vols pas chers pour aller en Mexique.
