Descrizione della recensione

ADI provides children and young adults with severe multiple disabilities the opportunity to live a rich and productive life within a safe environment.

Hundreds of children with intellectual and developmental disabilities and medical conditions receive advanced medical, educational and rehabilitative care in ADI’s residential facilities. In addition, ADI provides over thousands of outpatient treatments annually.

At ADI, we look beyond the disability to the child within. By nurturing development and enriching quality of life, we enable each child to reach their potential.

In 1982, a group of parents made a decision that would ultimately revolutionize life for Israel’s disability community: They would do everything possible to give their severely disabled children the best available care and the opportunity to grow and develop to their fullest capabilities. With great determination, they rented an apartment, hired a special education teacher and solicited a group of dedicated volunteers to assist them in fulfilling their goal. From these humble beginnings, ADI was formed.

This unique approach has since changed the face of rehabilitative care in Israel.

2019 at Caretaker For Disabled Children and (Young) Adults

I arrived at ALEH Negev-Nachlat Eran 5 weeks ago, not knowing what to expect. Those same 5 weeks at ALEH changed my life. In such a short amount of time, and far too short to my dismay; I made strong and loving connections with residents from ALEH. One of the residents I had the utmost ...
I’m a university student in Taiwan. This winter vacation I took the chance and went to ALEH as a volunteer for one month. That was my very first time traveling abroad on my own so at first I thought one month is pretty long. But after this beautiful experience I realized that one month is ...
I am very thankful for the opportunity to be volunteering at ALEH. The time and experiences in Israel in general and at ALEH: and the work with people with disabilities, shows me a lot of new things and provides me with feelings I never experienced before. Even though it was hard during the first ...
ALEH-Negev is a unique experience for volunteers. I was immersed in the lives of the residents in a very personal way. I could not help but fall in love with the little children who were trying to celebrate life as we all do. My charges love to be in the sunshine, enjoy the play grounds, pet the ...
I can say this is my best decision ever in my life. One year ago, without too much thinking, I didn’t know what it would be, and I was already on the way. In the very beginning I only planned to stay 3 months, but then I decided to extend to 6 months. Later in the blink of an eye, I was already ...
Hi I’m Becca and I am from New Jersey, USA! I volunteered at ALEH for 6 weeks this summer! As a volunteer I mostly spent time with the residents and helped them each morning to brush their hair and put on their shoes. I would walk them to the ‘ta’asuka’, which is their daily workshop ...
