Project Details

Emotional support and education for Children.

Sharing dreams-Peru is a Peruvian not-for-profit civil organisation that has been legally registered since 2009. The organisation is involved in various volunteer programmes in the areas of the Central Andes of Peru. The programmes target improving the quality of life of Andean people and communities that suffer from hardship and social, economic and cultural exclusion.

For the last three years, we have been working with communities, with the help of Foreign and Peruvian volunteers, developing projects that target organising and empowering groups of migrant Andean women. We focus on aspects such as gender-based problems, sexism, sex education, health, nutrition etc. We also develop hands-on projects for constructing communal bio-organic plots, improved kitchens and living spaces.

we run a wonderful project with children from the families we work with, providing educational and emotional support and material to those that live in zones of extreme poverty, in and around the city of Huancayo in the Peruvian Andes. We help to instil values and self-esteem, and provide emotional care, tutelage, assistance in schooling, Teaching English, educational games, etc.
