Project Details

Sun sHADe Volunteers (Maldives) provide opportunities for responsible and meaningful working holidays in one of the most beautiful places in the world: The Maldives!

Sun sHADe Volunteers is entirely led by Huvadhoo Aid (HAD), a non-governmental, youth organisation located in Huvadhoo Atoll. Sun sHADe Volunteers exists to constantly develop various parts of the rural community in order to attain basic needs, protect the environment and make island life even more worth living.
We have provided help to myriad citizens around the Huvadhoo Atoll and developed numerous projects since 1986 under Huvadhoo Aid organization umbrella and launched programmes for international volunteers in 2009. We are also experienced in cooperating with both local and international volunteers.
Our mission is:
• To provide an authentic travel experience to Sun sHADe Volunteers
• To let volunteers taste as much as possible from the Maldivian lifestyle and culture
• To engage volunteers in direct community service
• To help volunteers gain skills and experiences that can help them in their personal development and career exploration
• To ensure that the work we do genuinely contributes to the local communities for the better
