Ba Vi Disability Center Supporter

Volunteers will work with disabled children in the very scenic setting of Ba Vi.

Volunteers will assist our Helping Hands Vietnam workers to provide our programs to the children who are all orphaned. We currently employ 6 workers at the center in areas of health, wellness, rehabilitation, education and music/art therapy

Volunteers will also bring their own skills to the center and they will be utilized as best served by our VIVPS coordinators.

There are eight rooms at the center that accommodate our 170 children with volunteers usually allocated to one room. We feel that during the volunteer placement volunteers should best concentrate on one particular room and get to know those children very well and the procedures of the staff in the particular room, this helps make the volunteers time more effective and our support much easier.

Ba Vi is a place we do not recommend for everyone, it is not a place to come to play with children and take pics for facebook or other social media. Our only intent here is to improve the lives of those that we have committed to and encourage people who would really like to make a change to join us. You will not change the world when here but you can make a difference.

It is very much a third world program, but also one that can bring much personal joy, the kids are no different to any other, they just want love in their lives. Help us to Help them Volunteers will work with our staff in a room that is designated to them, each room contains approximately 20 children of varying disabilities. Tasks will vary depending upon the skill set of the volunteer, rehabilitation, education, health, creative therapy or general play with the kids.
