RUDEC since 2008 has initiated a sponsorship program, where currently over 55 orphans in addition to destitute children in the Belo community benefit from the

sponsorship program towards their education and healthcare.

 

Responsibilities

-The Child Sponsorship Manager will be responsible for the program’s quality, operations, reporting's, monitoring, and evaluation.

-site visits will be required from time to time and the need for assessments for the children under RUDEC's care.

-the manager will be required serve as the primary contact between RUDEC and its financial supporters.

-The manager will frequently be exposed to media publications and mass communication in order to enhance the reputation of the program, in which regularly requires

the posting of pictures and videos on all RUDEC/partner platforms, and ensuring the quality reporting of sponsorship funds.

-The manager shall also seek new funding opportunities to allow for the expansion of RUDEC sponsorship to new children.

-Administers site visits needs assessments for RUDEC sponsored children to Manage financial support for educational and health care needs.

-Manage website’s sponsorship page.

-Facilitate public relations and community engagement, including but not limited to donor reporting, newsletters, Facebook, and multimedia

platforms.

-Coordinate health care needs with Community Health Volunteers.

-Maintaining a database of RUDEC sponsored children Market and fundraise to increase aid for current and future children Mentor local employees who will be

 responsible to ensure sustainability Collaboration with RUDEC staff toward goals in strategic planning.

Program Requirements

Minimum Age
In order to join the program you need to be at least 19 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s).
Language Skills
You need to speak English (intermediate level)
Education Requirements
International development, Rural development, Management at Bs in Public adminstration, Management, or equivelant. level
Required Documents
Motivation letters, cover letter and Cv
Nationality Restrictions
No restrictions. Helping hands from all over the world are welcome.

What's included?
This project investment is to support the orphan project and overhead cost at RUDEC.
What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

We have a total of 3 rooms in each apartment and we have 2 beds per room, it has a shower and a kitchen stock by RUDEC. Volunteers pay their accommodation at $120

You can volunteer at the project site in Belo/Cameroon between 6 weeks and 14 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. RUDEC will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
$43/week
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with RUDEC during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
