Childcare assistant and mentor

Hopes to help orphans and needed childs in thirteen Adaklu communities attend school. The project will provide uniforms and shoes for 300 orphans

Our Child care programme is focused on addressing the individual needs of the children, offering them love, care and Attention. Many children in Adaklu do not have the opportunity to go to school because one or both of their parents have died. The guardians who care for the orphans already struggle to provide for their own children because they are subsistence farmers. Many times they cannot take on the educational expenses of additional children. The Ghanaian school system requires that children wear uniforms to attend school. The family of the student is responsible for providing the uniform, placing another expense on their already strained resources. As a result many orphans are unable to attend school. This greatly limits their ability to achieve their full potential. Members will obtained a list of orphans and needed in thirteen communities and document their names, class level, and measurements. The orphans who have received uniforms in the past will be guaranteed a uniform. Any new openings in the program will be distributed evenly between the thirteen communities. The community and the chief will determine which orphans have the most need, and they will be added to the program. If the number of new orphans exceeds 300 their names will be put on a waiting list.
