Childcare Morocco transforms the lives of the most vulnerable children across Rabat through the work of our services.
Childcare volunteers work with special needs children and children from disadvantaged neighborhoods through organizing and engaging in activities to entertain the children and enable them to develop cognitive abilities. Volunteers design activities for the children each day and these activities include physical development activities (music and movement, toys and games) language and literature, arts and craft (painting and drawing), and theatre. The aim is for volunteers to provide these underprivileged children with new enriching and exciting activities. Volunteering activities won’t run more than 4-5 hours per day, 5 days a week, monday to friday for the most dedicated volunteers.
Rabat is located on the Atlantic coast which gives a chance for our volunteers to go swimming or surfing in the nearest beaches on the weekends, during the week, they can explore the various sights in the city, such as the museum, Hassan Tour, the Roman Ruins 'Chellah' or maybe go to the most beautiful Zoo in Morocco, located in the heart of Rabat.
There are so many concerts held all over the year that volunteers can attend for some fun time.
We recommend for Volunteers who wish to travel during weekends to go to Casablanca for a one day trip, or to Fez and Meknes.
pickup at the airport of Rabat
It is MCAS policy to set up accommodation for all of our students, interns or volunteers with local Moroccan families. However there are also options for students if they wish to have their own private accommodation in Rabat.
