Non-profit | Street Child

Street Child is calling for individuals with experience in communications to support our partner organisations and liaise with the UK office with communications support. This volunteer program is especially suitable for:

Street Child is currently seeking to conduct research on a number of issues affecting marginalised children in Liberia, to inform the design and development of appropriate initiatives. This placement is a unique opportunity to make a critical contribution to an organisation that is setting up and scaling its efforts to enable out of school children in Liberia to access a meaningful education. Street Child offers placements for anywhere between four to twelve weeks, supporting our work in Liberia and the work of our partner organisations.

This role represents a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic charity with a passion for innovation within the sector. The successful candidate’s work will contribute towards our commitment to creating positive change for some of the world’s most vulnerable children and provide a superb platform for further career development.

Street Child's aim is to create educational opportunities for some of the world’s most vulnerable children. We began our work in 2008 in Sierra Leone working with a small number of street children, nine years later we have helped to transform the lives of more than 100,000 children across Sierra Leone, Liberia, Sri Lanka and Nepal. In 2017 we launched our first project in Nigeria helping children impacted by conflict in the North East of the country.

Street Child of Liberia has been working with the Government of Liberia and partner organisations to strengthen the capacity of teachers, schools and communities to sustain their investment in the education for their children. As a volunteer, you will be part of an exciting stage of the organization’s growth, and will be working closely with the Street Child of Liberia team to support our programs.
