Community Fundraising Assistant

Community fundraising assistant help to give children financial security for the future.

A grant writing volunteer and a fundraising volunteer fulfill important roles of helping to give children ministry and secure the necessary funding to continue pursuing their causes. These funds will help give children's ministry build a strong economy for the these poor marginalized children through education by build a learning conducive environment for them. The funds will help in improving the economic activities through sensitization and capacity building on income generating projects.

Although these grant writing and fundraising volunteer placements do not necessarily require previous experience in this field, volunteers interested in these positions should feel confident in their writing and communication skills.

It is also beneficial for volunteers in these grant writing volunteer and fundraising volunteer placements to have strong research skills and feel comfortable networking.

What's included?
Program fees covers: pre- service [culture health talk, program orientation, training etc.]
1 day sight seeing guide fee around Kampala or Jinja, equator, world heritage site [e.g game parks, zoos, museum,rivers etc], accommodation, laundry, food during placement with host family or volunteer guest house [3 meals a day], transportation to the site from GCM Base in Kiboga regular follow up support/ visit
[1-2 weeks interval by GCM's staff. support to local staff and volunteers.

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.
Accommodation

The GCM guest house is located in semi urban area with electricity power, water Good bathrooms, Flash latrines with running water, Kitchen and the rooms are 12ft by 10ft. the house has got a stand by generator. Rooms are single and can be shared by three people. we the house has four Bee rooms with dining and siting room.

You can volunteer at the project site in Kiboga/Uganda between 7 weeks and 30 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Give Children's Ministry will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
$95/week
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Give Children's Ministry during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
