As a volunteer, you will experience traditional life and participate in daily activities, such as cooking over an open fire.
Volunteers are needed in high numbers in this school. They make a difference for children and families every day through the gift of their time, energy, and talents. The main task is to help cooking and support the schools chef at the school kitchen within school compound. The area is quite quiet and is near the shopping center and market place where people buy food and other things.
What you do as a volunteer:
Cooking volunteers will arrive at the school in the morning 8.30am. The volunteer will start preparing food to be cooked in that day. The volunteer will be working with the school chef. They arrange to cook breakfast which is served at 10 am and after that they arrange to cook lunch which is served at 1 pm.
This program is available all year. The volunteer may arrive one day before the set start dates.
Kenya holds a huge population from different tribes. Kenya has 42 tribes and the same ethnic languages. All the 42 tribes come to Nairobi to look for jobs, do business, and also get academics besides others and this is why Nairobi is the center of many things.
Places to visit & Things to do:
All these are nice places which attracts a lot of people in Kenya and volunteers can choose to visit these places after their volunteering period, before or during weekends and we organize safaris for them.
