The project

Give something back to humanity and show your support in a project for people who are often shunned from society for having a disability. Be a positive example for others, and make an effort to assist others and provide them basic needs.

This volunteer program is based in Chile and it supports projects for people with physical and or mental disabilities. This program is mainly funded through charities and donations, it maintains several homes and creative workshops which both adults and children attend. All the facilties are tailored to the physical and psychological needs of the people. This organization offers disabled participants a better quality of life and it is very self rewarding to see the difference you make while also becoming familiar with the culture. 

Your work 

During this project  you can help care for the disabled and accompany them on daily tasks, while also supporting them to promote their individual talents and skills in workshops, seminars or dance classes. There is no special skills required only that you should be a patient and responsible individual. 

On a typical working day you will be: supporting the nurses, helping to take care and supervise patients, assist in workshops, teach basic computer skills, participate in arts and crafts, organize games. 

One of the most important parts of your job is to create a friendly, positive environment which makes all patients feel at home.

You can volunteer at the project site in Santiago de Chile/Chile between 4 weeks and 25 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. South America Inside will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with South America Inside during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
