Economic Empowerment trainers

To train women and girls with disabilities in income generating activities and business management skills.

BUWEDDA is not a ‘gap year’ organization; it is a Non-Governmental, grass roots development Association. It is run solely by volunteers who commit their time and sometimes financial resources to ensuring that rural women, girls and children with disabilities can be empowered economically and socially so that they can provide for themselves and their families and protect themselves against sexual exploitation and HIV/AIDS.

This makes volunteering for BUWEDDA Uganda an exciting ‘volunteer experience’ as you contribute towards the life transformation and create hope among the women, girls and children with disabilities.

The volunteering cost is much cheaper, it covers your stay in Uganda and a small contribution towards the organization’s activities. It does not pay the wages of staff and all money goes directly into the projects. BUWEDDA offers hands on grass roots development experience that will make a real impact on the lives of women and children with disabilities in Jinja, Uganda.

BUWEDDA greatly appreciates and values the Volunteers contributions in terms of skills, efforts and time offered to help run its projects. There is always space for new thinking and innovative ideas that can benefit the projects. In most cases our volunteers are part of the BUWEDDA staff and are encouraged to freely share their ideas geared at empowering and transforming the lives of rural women and girls with disabilities and the children. Our volunteer program is also flexible giving the volunteer an opportunity to choose which program or project they feel more comfortable to participate in either going to the field or working at the office. You can also volunteer from home/ Online.
