Education Assistant

Volunteer with Flying Kites, an organization that runs a home and school for vulnerable children in Kenya.

Flying Kites’ volunteers contribute invaluable time, funding, and passion to our cause.  Our volunteer program consists of three parts:  fundraising, on-site experience in Kenya, and advocacy. Once accepted into the program, volunteers begin fundraising to sponsor a child.  Raising funds is the most powerful way to directly impact the lives of the children we serve; we need ambassadors of our cause who will work with us to set higher standards of care and create long-term infrastructure: all of which starts with funding. Our team is dedicated to helping you reach your fundraising goal with marketing materials, event ideas and ‘round the clock support.

Once in Kenya, volunteers work closely with the staff at Flying Kites to assist in the home, school and community - where they have an opportunity to see the impact of the funds they raised. Upon completion of a trip, volunteers remain a part of the Flying Kites family and many return to Njabini year after year.  It is our hope that the time spent on the ground inspires volunteers to share their experience with others, recruit sponsors for children in need and help us continue to raise the bar!
