The project

In this volunteer project you will be educating children on the implementation of sustainable environmental conservation. Children are the future of the planet so by teaching them about natural conservation and sustainability they will be able to implement these concepts from childhood on. 

The goal of the project is to pioneer in enviromental education for children. The initiators pursue the goal to make children familiar with nature, which gives them knowledge on flora and fauna for a healthy climate. 

This centre provides a large green area with a variety of herbs, vegetables and orchards as well as special recycling areas and classrooms for theoretical lessons and for craft projects. 

Volunteering in this project in Peru you will guide and teach children to and in sustainable conservation and support actively the conservation of our planet.

Your work 

In this project you will be working with the local community. Everyone on the project is working together to protect the ecosystem and also helps to raise the awareness of the importance of preserving the local environment. 

On a typical working day you will be:

  • creating new green areas together with children, 
  • supporting material development, 
  • decorating the classrooms, 
  • maintenance of ecological areas such as hiking trails, 
  • educating local communities about hygiene, 
  • prevention and recycling programs

Free-time activities

There are many different activities to choose from during your time in Peru. Most volunteers travel around the city and surrounding areas taking in the amazing views and the rich culture Peru has to offer. There are also a number of bars in the city where you can socialize with other volunteers.

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.

In this project you will be staying with a host family in a private bedroom but with a shared bathroom and other living areas. This will give you the chance to improve your Spanish skills, and try local food.

There is also the option of living in a guest house with internationals (prices vary).

You can volunteer at the project site in Cusco/Peru between 4 weeks and 25 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. South America Inside will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with South America Inside during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
