Give back to the global community by working with children and animals. Help disabled and disadvantaged children build confidence and trust.
This is a brilliant opportunity to gain international experience and give back to the global community by volunteering with disadvantaged children and rehabilitated animals. Our partner organisation helps disabled children and young people who have experienced trauma to build confidence, resolve any trust issues and work on their interpersonal skills. As a volunteer, you will interact with the children whilst they wait for their lesson by running entertaining and educational workshops and planning engaging activities. If you having experience working with horses, you can join the therapists on the lessons and contribute to the day-to-day care of the animals.
Working with children and animals can be extremely rewarding and even therapeutic. As well as gaining invaluable first-hand experience in an international setting, you will have the unique opportunity to live and work on one of the most beautiful islands in the world, Tobago. Tobago is famed for its pristine beaches and its lush protected rainforests, as well as its rich culture and warm, friendly people. There is plenty to keep you occupied during your down time; you can explore coral reefs, go hiking in the rainforest, or even hop on a boat and visit the neighbouring island, Trinidad. Perhaps the most exciting part of the week is Sunday School; a huge beach party that takes place every Sunday night so that the locals can welcome in the new week.
V2 organises trips that showcase the best of Tobagonian culture. Volunteers trek through the island's lush tropical rainforest, explore the spectacular Buccoo Bay coral reef, and can take a relaxing dip in Nylon Pool, amongst other options. We are always on the look out for new trips and excursions and we are open to suggestions from volunteers. We can also help volunteers organise solo trips, if they wish.
We provide airport transfers. Once you have confirmed your booking with us and booked your flights, let us know when you arrive and we will make sure that one of our team are there to greet you in a bright green V2 t-shirt!
We house our volunteers in carefully selected guesthouses or with local families who have been fully vetted for safety and comfort. All of our accommodations have internet, so that you can keep in touch with loved ones back home.

We can cater to any dietary requirements, including vegetarian and vegan, and any allergies or religious requirements.
