About Us

The Little Farm Sanctuary Project is a non-profit organization. We are here to help providing a safe home for animals that they can feel safe and happy. Our aim is to improve natural conjunctions to save the environment around the farm.
We may be just a small farm, but we are proud to have been able to impart knowledge to those who come and volunteer. Little Farm Sanctuary offers  volunteers the possibility to get to know and experience the feeling of warmth and friendship. At The Little Farm Sanctuary, you will live a simple life. You will be working with new friends. The activities at the farm will bring you a lot of new experiences which you will keep in good memory. The Little Farm Sanctuary wants to create a second home for everyone which cares for a better understanding of how we can learn to live with animals and enjoy the simple life nature has to offer.

About the Program

The Little Farm Sanctuary is giving animals a protected and lovely home. At our sanctuary you can find a variety of animals such as sheeps, goats, pigs, chickens, geese, ducks, rabbits, dogs, cats and much more. We provide for the welfare of our animals that includes work like feeding, bathing, cleaning, treating and playing with them. We invite everyone to come and share ideas to help our Little Farm Sanctuary at anytime. Some animals at our farm have disabilities and need special care. The Little Farm Sanctuary will protect and save these animals. We give them a new home where they can lead a happy life. We built species-appropriate shelters for animals and help them spending the rest of their lives in an comfortable surrounding. Besides, we hope that our friendly farm will teach the visitors  about sustainable farming, Thai traditional culture and understanding how we can live the simple way of life. 

Volunteering Opportunities

The Little Farm Sanctuary welcomes anyone who is interested and willing to take part in our volunteering programs. Here you can meet new friends and backpackers from all around the world, who share the same interest and love. Love is our leading motivation that helps you enjoying your work experience by taking a hands-on approach on the animals. There are many interesting activities that you can join.
Every day the volunteers have several jobs that need to be done on a daily basis.
Next to animal care volunteers will help to teach visitors an travelers what is meant by living in conjunction with nature and the environment. You will promote cultural tourism and volunteer programs to the rural village. 
We believe that you will experience a lifestyle which is fresh, inspiring and different from your daily life. You will surely be received with great appreciation, warmth and smiles from the local community.

Suitable for


Typical day

Typical task at our farm are :
  • Cleaning around the farm
  • Helping and learning how to make organic composting.
  • Helping to make local product such as coconut oil, by your hand on
  • Supporting planting vegetables in the garden such as seed starting, building, harvests, weeding and etc
  • Helping to animal husbandry such as clean and feeding, bathing and playing with them
  • Assistant to building and repair animal stables around the farm
  • Supporting public relations and providing project information to visitors,
  • Helping to teach basic in English skill for children at the local school
  • Working and interacting with the local community

Details on Arrival

The Little Farm Sanctuary Project is available from January to December. You are welcome to join us all year.

Program Requirements

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s). Of course, there is an exception for children that are accompanied by their parents.

Free-time activities

In the evening you are free to spend your time how you please. We recommend for you to go exploring the surrounding area. You will discover the beauty of nature and the way of life in Thailand. You can go out and explore the local town. Slow down life a bit and embrace the Thai culture. Find yourself in deep thinking and reevaluate life.


Included Services

What's included?
We cover the cost of food & other daily living expenses such as electricity and water bills, also the general care and maintenance for the animals which contains food and medicine as well as equipment for the care and improvement of shelter for the animals etc.

You will reside in a shared rooms located near to a water basin, with a scenic view of the mountains and forest. As the project is based in a remote area, the volunteers can enjoy the quiet and relaxing surroundings after a long day at work. The room offers a bed, pillow, blanket and a lamp with a Thai style bathroom outside.

Food & Beverages

We will provide you with 2 Thai style meals a day (Breakfast & Lunch). For your evening meal you have a huge variety in the local town. We have a large market with lots of fresh food stalls and local restaurants (some serving western food). You also can choose to buy food to cook with your fellow volunteers on the farm. We will also give you the opportunity to take part in learning Thai cooking during your stay!

What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. An airport pickup isn't included within the program fees either.

No worries, Volunteer World supports you in raising funds, checking your visa regulations and travel insurance. We also assist you in finding the cheapest flights for your journey.

Average fees

You can volunteer at the project site in Ratchaburi/Thailand between 1 week and 4 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. Little Farm Sanctuary Project will let you know about the final price during your application process.
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with Little Farm Sanctuary Project during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
