Taking part in a football coaching program will give you the chance to develop your career in sport while supporting under-privileged children.
About the Program
Volunteers will work with students to increase their enthusiasm and to take advantage of raw talent. These children love football but are often come without any proper coaching background including basic ball skills and understanding of how the game is played. OGVO works with a variety of schools and youth clubs who are looking for sports volunteers. You will act as a football coach during school and a coach for the team after school. You may also need to run a tournament that is held with a multitude of participating schools.
Volunteer will also combine his coaching with some regular or basic teachings like the English as a result having a wider array of experience and enabling you get to know your students even better. Sports coaching volunteers on OGVO Ghana programs provide priceless chances and opportunity for young people to partake and get involved in sports and obtain several benefits related to the playing of sports. Our volunteers work with local sports clubs/organisations and schools in Ghana that organise numerous activities.
Volunteers will combine coaching with English instruction and other useful skills to provide a wide range of experiences for students.
During weekends Volunteers/Interns have the opportunity to visit all that Ghana has to offer. Weekend trips available include visits to Mole National Park in the Northern Region of Ghana. This National Park offers a great Safari-like experience and is one of the biggest Elephant Sanctuaries in Africa with the chance to spot Lions, Leopards & Antelopes in their natural habitat.
Volunteers can also take a trip to Cape Coast in the Central Region of Ghana to relax in the beautiful beaches and see the famous Cape Coast castle, the Kakum Canopy walkway and Elmina castle, where slave trade begun.
