Fundraiser for Orphanage

Volunteers will enhance sponsorship of the orphan program and increase fundraising efforts to accomadate more orphans.

Community Agriculture and Environmental Protection Association Cameroon (CAEPA Cameroon) is a non political, non profit making organization whose mission is to enhance community health, agriculture and environmental protection within Cameroonian communities and beyond.

 CAEPA Cameroon is looking for volunteers to join existing rural development projects that contribute to the wellbeing of communities. Both short and long term volunteers are welcome. CAEPA Cameroon currently provides care for 50 orphans and destitute children. However, due to limited funding they are unable to accommodate more children. Volunteers will enhance sponsorship of the program and increase fundraising efforts. Volunteers will be required to live and work in Bamenda. They will prepare a data base for all orphans and their needs,Visit them and give support with their academic works especially with assignments.Volunteers will write news letters about the program as well as explore possible options for sustainability of the project.

Free-time activities

CAEPA Cameroon is looking for volunteers to oversee and manage the Orphans and Vulnerable children project. CAEPA Cameroon currently provides for 50 orphans and destitute children. However, the application we have is above 500 but due to limited funding we are unable to add more children. Volunteers will have to visit the children,look at their school work and assist them were need be.Draw plans to enhance sponsorship of the programme and also to encourage further sponsors to make the program sustainable in the long run.Volunteer will be required to live and work in Bamenda, Cameroon for any length of time as a contribution to bettering the lives of these children.



What's included?
An airport pick-up costs $150 which includes the cost of transport by bus, taxi hire from the airport, hotel for one night, and food and water needed during the journey to Bamenda. Travelling by bus from Douala to the project area will take about 8 hours.
What's NOT included?
Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees.

Airport Pickup

The rest house is located near CAEPA Cameroon Office at mile 3 Nkwen in Bamenda.It has individual rooms with a shared parlour with a seating area, bathroom (toilet and shower) and a kitchen for food preparation. There is a gas cooker provided by CAEPA Cameroon but volunteers will need to buy their own gas.It will cost $112 per month.

You can volunteer at the project site in Bamenda/Cameroon between 12 days and 16 days. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. CAEPA will tell you your final price during your application process.
Average Fees
Deposit (20%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (80%)
Your final payment must be made up to 30 days before to the volunteer program starts. This payment is also securely handled by PayPal or credit card.
