Health is also one of the fundamental needs of a human. come and lets us make changes in the Ghana health sector.
Weekends, are free days to volunteers. You may choose to travel out of town to see the many interesting sights and sounds in other parts of Ghana or hang out with your fellow volunteer(s) and/or locals in the neighbourhood.
On the day (or night) of your arrival, SAMBA AFRICA VOLUNTEERING (SAVO) staffs will be at the airport to welcome you and transfer you to a hotel with air-conditioned rooms and restaurant only in the night of your arrival, Orientation and transportation to your assigned placement will be done the next morning following your arrival day but arrival in day time you will be transported to your destination (KUMASI).
The accommodation type we arrange for volunteers is the family stay type. This means that volunteers stay with a family as their host. Staying with a host family is very ideal and cost saving for both the volunteer and SAVO-Ghana. The volunteer gets to experience the culture closely and better whilst SAVO-Ghana also comfortably manages the security and safety of the volunteer and properties. In a room, each volunteer has to his/her own, a bed, pillow and bedspread.
The foods served are mainly international dishes comprising rice, chicken, beef, tea, coffee, bread, eggs, soup, potato, oaths, fruits, fish, etc. local foods are served alongside and are made mainly from the above, tubers, beans and/or maize. We have to mention that it is very common to find dishes volunteers are familiar with in a restaurant in the cities.
