In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s).

Free-time activities

Jinja is part of Uganda that is surounded by water with alot of foriegn tourist backparking in safari. It has one of he biggest white water rafting in africa and its also blessed with the source of river nile. Alot of music activities/ bands and also night outing are common for a beer or a soda. Horse hill ridding is available.swimmin is apart of the activities since jinja has many resorts and also many swimming pools available with in town. Sports are also a major activity mostly the youth as we have a couple of sports gounds more so foot ball, basketball, rugby and netball most common. Some other activities can also be found in diferent place not so really fur from jinja.

Breakdown of Fees
The fee covers airport pickup, orientation and transport to your placement, accommodation, guesthouse use, and a donation to the organization with which you are working. The fee does not cover airline tickets, visas, vaccinations, drinking water, leisure activities, or medical services.
Airport Pickup at Entebbe

The volunteer will be picked up by personell of the organisation at the airport upon there arrival.
Transport from the airport to Jinja is approx. 4 hours drive.

Accommodation

The accommodation is located in walukuba East at the project location and its about one or less kilometer to the project. The guest house has one shared room and the rest are single self contained rooms with a carbard, table and chair. It has a kitchen facility where the volunteers can do there own private cooking and also a simple bar that sales beer and some soft drinks. The guest house also a condusive enviroment for relaxing with a garden.

Visa, flights, travel insurance or vaccinations are NOT included in the program fees. Food, snacks or beverages are at extra costs.

You can volunteer at the project site in Jinja/Uganda between 4 weeks and 24 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. X-SUBA will let you know about the final price during your application process.
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with X-SUBA during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
