Help orphans and stop early marriage in the Maasai community though educating Maasai. We give them hope and a future in life.

The Maasai is the most marginalized community which has been affected by cultural ties from the past. Though it is a community with a colorful lifestyle.

About the Program

Volunteers will help save our cultural heritage and support our community in various ways. They will be involved in teaching the community on entrepreneurship, home based care for the sick, orphans and vulnerable children. They will also be involved in documentation for the projects, cooking among other duties as they may want to engage into them. Volunteers can donate to any of our projects at their own will and interest with tree planting, baby sitting, doing the school run, cooking, shopping, general maintenance, office work, help with building, language tuition etc. 

We will provide special meals for our volunteers as well as Maasai traditional meals, healing herbs, wild fruits and so much more. The Organization will create events that benefit the entire community and especially the most in need. Our project will cooperate with local and International NGOs which will supply the community with Volunteers that will motivate the community in achieving their goals as well to provide the necessary knowledge.

Volunteers are also free to coordinate sports and learn Maasai culture and arts at the end of the day. Many volunteers are also opt to tutor some students during the period. 

We also have Maasai music we promise that our volunteers will be happy and promise our visitor that it will be unforgettable moment for them they will go back to there countries and come again to Maasai . 

The work will happen in a Maasai houses and some wild animals like zebras, Antelopes and ostriches will be around but all in all  we have enough security for you. We welcome everyone!

Day-to-Day Activities

Volunteers will be involve with tree planting, baby sitting, doing the school run, cooking, shopping, general maintenance, office work, language tuition etc. Our be love volunteers work with us the community and day-to-day basis volunteers will communicate with there families also do traditional music with our locals and interact with them.

Program Requirements

In order to join the program you need to be at least 18 years old on the program start date. There might be exemptions if you can provide the permission of your legal guardian(s). Of course, there is an exception for children that are accompanied by their parents.

Free-time activities

In our Project volunteers will be able to tour the fast Maasai land with so many natural resources, wild animals and they will also be able to interact with the people and learn more about our culture including the Maasai worriers and attend many other interesting activities.

One the one hand volunteers can experience our vast nature: You can for example go on safari and visit our famous national parks, do various sport, go on a hike or go climbing. 

One the other hand you can visit the nearby cities and villages: E.g. visit original African concerts and get to know the culture.

Airport Pickup at Jomo Kenyatta International

We provide airport pickup. The volunteer will give us the exact day of coming and time, we will be in the Airport on time to pick our be love friend and from there we go to Maasai land.


Maasai people live in homesteads with their cattle, sheep and goat. The volunteers can therefore be accommodated in the these traditionally made houses with friendly people and tight security from the entire community. We promise that your adventure will be unforgettable.

You can volunteer at the project site in Nairobi/Kenya between 4 weeks and 50 weeks. Please note that the above shown program fees are estimated and subject to exchange rate fluctuations. MIAOO will let you know about the final price during your application process.
Deposit (15%)
The deposit is simply to reserve your volunteer placement. Payments are handled by PayPal, our trusted global payment provider. If you don't have a PayPal account, you can also pay using a credit card.
Final Payment (85%)
Your final payment will be agreed with MIAOO during the application process. Common solutions are either via bank transfer or a cash payment at the project site.
