Medical Doctors, Nurses, Community Health Educators, and Students are urgently needed to volunteer in our community clinics in Ghana.
The current project focuses on
improving referral services, prevention of disease like malaria,
improved quality of health services, strengthening community capacity, maternal
and reproductive health services, and hygiene education. The local clinic serves about 150 patients a day.
Under the guidance of residence nurses and care takers, volunteers will take over various tasks in the areas of their expert. For all interns and volunteers that will be assigned to the clinic, an individual work plan is created so that you know exactly which your tasks are and this is also how optimal care can be guaranteed. Previous experiences are an advantage but not a requirement. You bold steps to come and help improve the health condition of our rural poor will have a great impact.
To work in the hospital you should be vaccinated against all major diseases.
During free time volunteers can swim there many nice beaches in Ghana or relax at the volunteer house. Volunteers schedule activities to do with friends or some of our team members weekends and this include: swimming, arts and crafts, baking, games, treasure hunts, quizzes, sports, fishing etc. Volunteers enjoy weekend off.
