Assist with general doctor consultations, examination tests, deliver free medicines to sick people and help planning to set up a health facility center.
Morne-A-Bruler, a communal section of Haiti, is one such area in serious need of healthcare, education and economic development. To this end, Global Vision Over Haiti Today (GVOHT) was started on April 15, 2006, to provide consistent help to local residents. We work to provide free education, food and supplies along with creation of shelters and support for the homeless. One of our ambitious projects is to build a community medical center so residents can have access to healthcare and medical aids/supplies.
Volunteers Free -Time-Activities are: Concerts/ Music, Churches activities, Learn the Haitian (Haiti) Cuisine or Cooking and Play sport,(Soccer, Football), Community orientation, riding horses, visit some places, go to swim in rivers and walk to visit some funny gullies and hills.
Please be advised to contact the project leader before making any arrangements or booking flight tickets.
Due to the high hotel cost, Volunteer might be staying only a day in the Haiti capital hotel and will move next day to a rural staying house close to the project site. Please be advised that there will be no fancy house, electricity as it's a remote area and no enough money to buy generator and refrigerator to keep anything cold or freeze any medicines. Volunteers are required to bring a flash light in order to see at night time. For future, thing can be changed but we need their full collaboration.
Volunteers can make foods and drink selections but we will be serving : Coffee, milk , bread, Eggs, Bananas, Rice & peas sauces, Fried chicken (got, fishes), Salads, Spagetthi, Green planting, Soups, Sodas, Natural Juices. Also, feel free to make request for foods or drink you may like to be prepared. We love to feed you as best we can.
