Mentor young children

Working closely with the orphanage to provide the best care possible for the children with education, care and fun and games.

You will be working in an orphanage we are supporting through our local NGO because of their desire to build a development package that will provide a safe place for the children in their care to grow into adulthood. Our aim is first to build a solid volunteering platform for them with volunteers helping to support the home while building up a good picture of the home from which we can build the social media platforms, a website and a feedback system for them which they can use to attract sponsors and donors to work with the home.

Its a long term project and will be achieved over the course of several years but you will be able to follow it to its completion by helping us achieve these goals.
On school days you will begin early when you help the children get ready for school, If you dont accompany them to teach there then there will be an option for some free time or you can help the orphanage staff with their daily tasks.  And if you have skills in art, crafts, sports, gardening or any other skill that can be taught to the children to improve their skills and social abilities then please state this before you arrive at the home so we can make use of your skills.

All skills are useful on this placement but Interaction, friendship, and support are the most important things you will need to be able to offer the children we work with.
